Qualifications
The
visa is available for Canadian and Mexican business visitors,
treaty traders and investors, intra-company transferees, and professionals
to work in the U.S. Requirements

requirements for Canadian nationals:
The
following documents must be presented to the INS or NAFTA officer
when applying at the U.S. port of entry (along with a fee):
1.
Evidence of Canadian citizenship (birth certificate, passport,
or naturalization certificate);
2.
A description of the proposed employment activity (may be described
in the job offer letter);
3.
Proof of qualification to work at a professional level (via degrees,
license, diploma, work experience, etc.) and a resume (optional);
4. Evidence of qualification for specific occupation (as listed
above); and
5.
A letter from the prospective employer should also be included,
indicating that the applicant will work for them in the listed
professional occupation, along with information about the job
description, salary etc. Encouraged also is a description of the
need for professional services and how the applicant's education
and work experience confirm his/her professional status.
Validity
of a TN Visa
Initially,
the visa duration is of one year. It can, however, be renewed
indefinitely in yearly increments.
